COACHING

What is coaching?

Coaching involves co-creating a environment to have a meaningful conversation.  These discussions will include: setting goals, exploring new ideas, increasing self-awareness, driving accountability, and co-designing actions and practices that support you in achieving what you want in life.

I make a difference for my clients by helping them reveal new possibilities for themselves and how they see the world.  I support my clients in taking new actions and beginning to live the life that they crave today.

What are the benefits of coaching?

  • Achieve your desired results in life - personally and professionally
  • Understand your impact on others and improve your relationships
  • Discover how to be a more effective leader - at work, at home, in the community, etc.
  • Develop greater well-being, confidence and personal satisfaction
  • Discover new possibilities and perspectives in your life and work
  • Learn how to communicate more effectively

How does coaching work?

We will design a coaching engagement that serves your individual needs.  Typically, we will meet weekly or bi-monthly for a coaching conversation for 45-75 minutes.  We will meet via phone or Skype.  We can also arrange in-person intensive coaching sessions while doing the things you enjoy (e.g. hiking, walking, etc).  To drive lasting change, coaching generally works best with a 6-month commitment.

What does it cost?

I offer a complimentary first session to all potential clients.  You can generally expect the session to last 60-90 minutes. This will allow you to experience coaching with me and for us to get to know each other.  If we both want to establish a coaching relationship after that session, we will talk about what type of coaching support might best serve you, and the associated costs. Contact me for a free consultation.

Who are your typical clients?

I work with human beings just like you.  My clients are individuals who are ready to reveal new possibilities in their lives.  They are also committed to coaching as a supported way to achieve their goals.  Their roles include: leaders of organizations (C-suite), managers wanting to succeed in new roles, and individuals trying to reveal what big personal impact they want to leave on the world.  I especially enjoy working with individuals going through transitions in their lives...whether it's a new stretch role/promotion at the office, career changes, relationship transitions, or other life changes.

What coaching approach do you use?

I use an ontological approach to coaching, which I learned via Newfield Network.  We will start by talking about what you want to achieve in your work/life and in our coaching engagement.  You will set coaching goals so that you can make the best use of our time together.  Each session you will bring a focus area that aligns with your coaching goals (or something else keeping you up at night!)  I will ask you questions that will help us better understand how you see the world.  And...based on the glasses that you use to see the world, we will then look at the actions you are taking, and the results you are getting.  If you are not getting the results you want, we will talk about what might be getting in the way and co-create actions and practices that will support you in achieving your goals.  We will focus on the language you use, your body/movement, and emotions.

What do I need to do to prepare for coaching?

  • Be ready to look deeply at yourself.
  • Challenge yourself - be open to try new things and consider new possibilities.
  • Be fully committed (Hell YES!)  You will get as much back as you put into this.
  • Ask questions if you are not sure or if something does not feel right to you.
  • We are accountable to each other in this coaching relationship, so each of us has to show up fully, every time.

We all look at the world in a certain way...based on the individuals we are, the lessons we have learned and our life experiences. When we realize that our current path isn’t getting us to the life that we have been dreaming about, it can be frustrating and stressful. Making a change is hard work and the best kind of work all in the same.  Are you ready to reveal the good life that you were meant to live?  The world is waiting for you...are you ready for it?
